The area is served by numerous airports however we have always found Malaga to have had the widest choice of carriers and times along with the cheapest prices. Malaga Airport has undergone major renovation and expansion in the last few years and now boasts a light, airey and modern environment for your enjoyment. The airlines we have used because in our experience they have the lowest prices and fly from airports all over the U.K. and Europe are listed on the left. Car Hire
Cuevas de San Marcos is around 55 minutes from Malaga Airport so you will definately need to hire a car. The use of a car will further your enjoyment of the area allowing you to explore the historic towns and cities. Driving in Spain is straight forward although some of the roads can be quite narrow so just use caution and remember they drive on the right hand side. Car hire in Spain is relatively inexpensive and most companies use new cars and not old death traps like in the old days.

There are two ways of booking your car hire either through a comparison site or direct with the hirer. Some companies are located at Malaga Airport and some are off site but nearby however they will offer a free and frequent shuttle bus to collect your vehicle and back to the airport on your return. Listed are both ways so check them out and see which works for you.
